TWCC is hosting Free Foresters v Nepal for the Earthquake Fund 26/6 …

TWCC is assisting in fundraising for the Nepal Earthquake Appeal by hosting a match at The Nevill between a Free Foresters XI and a Nepal XI. Admission is FREE and the Gate will open at 13.00, with play commencing at 14.00, on Friday 26 June 2015. The match format will be T20, and the Gurkha Pipers will provide background sounds. The Club Bar will be open, and a BBQ is billed to take place. Bring your friends for a grand exhibition in a good cause.

This will be a truly worthwhile event and occasion, and everyone is invited to attend and donate as desired. Several known players will be participating and a ‘splendid time is guaranteed for all’ as the song has it.

For TWCC and all involved in the Appeal.

TW Skippers all hit fifty on the same day …

On 13 June, all four League captains scored fifty plus for their respective sides, an event which, oddly, has not been recorded before. Alex Williams hit 91* as TW 1 swept to an early win at the Main Ground, while Charles Walker carried his bat for 73* as TW 4 won on the Upper Nevill. Kelvin Hill did much the same with 94* as TW 3 overcame Burgess Park away, as did Tim Luckhurst with 77 in a defeat at Sandwich. Nevertheless, an interesting synchronicity !
