Izzy Cloke joins the Winter 2015/16 EWDP Squad …

In a major achievement for the TWCC Ladies Section, Izzy Cloke has made it into the England Women’s Development Programme for the Winter; she is joined by Kent & Broadstairs’ Megan Belt. This is one of three leading Women’s cricketing pathways to success and selection for higher accolades, and is a notable first achievement for the fledgling TWCC section, set up in 2009. A delighted Izzy was interviewed this morning on BBC Radio Kent about this marvellous step forwards; the links below describe this deserved promotion :-

William Stickler reaches 100 catches for TWCC at Bexley 5/9 …

William Stickler chose the final match of 2015 to neatly move to three figures as a catcher, becoming the first player in the ‘computerised era’ to complete this feat. (There will doubtless be others who reached this number of catches for the Club, but research is ongoing). With his nine run-outs, Will leads the field on 109 total victims with Richard Cutts closely behind on 108 and Chris Williams on 106. These last two have considerably more run-outs to their credit, and therefore fewer total catches.
