Youth Cricket – About Us

The Youth section plays a very important role in the continued growth and success of the Club and we work hard to encourage youngsters to develop their cricketing skills and a love for the game.

TWCC won the prestigious U15 ECB National Championship in 2007 from an entry of 1700, to become the first Club in Kent to win the trophy, but we welcome youngsters of every ability.

The England and Wales, and the Kent, Cricket Boards (ECB/KCB) have awarded us Clubmark and Focus Club Community Cluster status: confirming that we are a safe, effective, and child-friendly Club, and will receive their special support in our continued efforts to develop cricket provision in the community.

Youth members are full members with entitlement to all privileges (apart from some legal restrictions).
Qualified coaches and match managers ensure that youth members can enjoy the pleasure of training and playing on The Nevill, one of the country’s most beautiful county cricket grounds. Training sessions are held weekly throughout the summer, and there are winter training programmes. New outdoor cricket nets were built in 2010 to the latest ECB specification and these are fully utilised by youth members.
