The Youth section plays a very important role in the continued growth and success of Tunbridge Wells Cricket Club. We actively encourage and welcome any youngster who is keen to develop his or her cricketing interest and skills.
The Club has the prestigious Clubmark accreditation from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), which recognises Tunbridge Wells as a safe, effective, and child-friendly club.
Youth members are full members with entitlement to all privileges (apart from some legal restrictions) and the older players have lots of opportunities to play in the adult teams when they are ready.
Qualified coaches and match managers ensure that boys and girls can enjoy the pleasure of practising and playing on the Nevill County Cricket Ground.
Age groups (8-15 years) compete within league and friendly structures, with most matches played on Sunday mornings, and some played on midweek evenings.
Our Colts Festival Team, which is open to members under 17 years of age, competes in the Tunbridge Wells 4-day Festival in August each year. Youth players may play in our adult sides when they are ready to do so.
Coaching sessions are held weekly throughout the summer.
Membership details will be available in the WELCOME LETTER which will be sent to existing members in March together with the Club MEMBERSHIP FORM for 2008.
Those seeking membership for the first time should contact the Head of Youth Cricket, preferably by email – see Contact Us page – by providing the name of the player and his or her date of birth, so that he or she can be put on our waiting list. We will then contact you with further information
